Gardaí investigating break-in to barbers in Omeath

Gardaí are investigating a break-in to a shop in Omeath on Sunday night. The incident occurred at a barber shop in the village at around midnight. Anyone who was in the area at the time who may have witnessed anything suspicious is asked to contact Omeath Garda Station (pictured above) on 042 9375175.

A number of homes and businesses on the R173 road between Omeath and Carlingford are without power at present due to a fault. Around 12 customers are said to be impacted by the outage. The problem occurred at 9.53am and is expected to be resolved by 1.30pm. Apologies have been expressed for any inconvenience caused.
